Nut-Free Bliss Ball:
  • 1 C rolled oats (or gluten free alternative)
  • 140g pitted dates (approx 1 doz. medjool dates)
  • 140g dried apricots (approx 2 cups)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (not essence)
  • 2 tsp cocoa (Equagold Premium Dutch Cocoa)
  • Optional: 1 tsp cinnamon for second half mixture
  • or, 2 tsp cinnamon for whole mixture
  • 1 small handful raisins
  • 1/3 C desiccated coconut for rolling into

Method

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until the mixture becomes sticky and clumps together. Just make one batch at a time as per recipe, to go easy on your food processor. Roll (have slightly wet fingers with cold tap water to roll into balls, so mixture doesn’t stick to fingers) teaspoonfuls of the mixture into balls and then roll in the coconut or sesame seeds. Store in an airtight container in the fridge. Makes around 24. Recipes compliments of: Sandra Perry Nutritionist 360’ Nutrition Albany Ph. 09 415 2676
